Position Summary
The Robotics Sales Manager drives B2B sales of NW Quality Cleaning’s autonomous floor-care robots and related service programs. You will prospect and meet decision-makers at hospitals, convention centers, and other large commercial facilities; run professional demos and site consultations; build ROI-based proposals; and close deals that put floor robots to work where labor pressure and after-hours coverage matter most. This is a field-facing, consultative sales role—not cold retail or residential selling. You represent NWQC with polish, credibility, and a clear business case for automation plus human crews where robots leave off.
Essential Duties
- Prospect and contact hospitals, convention centers, healthcare systems, hotels, airports, campuses, and other large commercial facilities about NWQC floor robots and hybrid cleaning programs
- Identify and engage B2B decision-makers (facility directors, EVS/operations leaders, procurement, CFOs, and event/venue operations) through outreach, networking, referrals, and targeted account lists
- Conduct discovery calls and on-site walkthroughs to understand square footage, floor types, labor constraints, infection-control or brand standards, and after-hours requirements
- Present NWQC’s autonomous floor-care value proposition professionally: mapped hard-floor coverage by robots, human focus on high-touch and specialty work, measurable labor and consistency benefits
- Coordinate and lead live product demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concept trials with support from Robotics Technicians and operations as needed
- Prepare quotations, proposals, ROI summaries, and commercial offers tailored to each account; negotiate terms within approved guidelines
- Manage a disciplined pipeline and forecast (CRM or NWQC tracking tools); keep accurate notes on contacts, stages, and next steps
- Partner with Robotics Technicians and operations on handoff after a sale—site readiness, deployment timing, and customer expectations
- Maintain long-term account relationships; identify expansion opportunities (additional robots, sites, or complementary janitorial services)
- Represent NWQC at industry events, association meetings, and client presentations when assigned
- Protect confidential client information and follow all NWQC and site access/badge rules
- Meet or exceed agreed activity and revenue targets; report weekly pipeline and closed business to leadership
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
- Proven business-to-business (B2B) sales background; professional demeanor required for hospital and convention-center environments
- Minimum 3 years outside or consultative B2B sales experience (commercial equipment, facilities services, healthcare capital/equipment, industrial technology, or similar preferred)
- Strong presentation, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills across multi-person buying committees
- Comfortable prospecting, running live demos, and closing longer sales cycles with ROI and operational outcomes
- Ability to travel regularly within the Pacific Northwest (and occasionally farther) for site visits, demos, and events; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Proficiency with email, presentations, and CRM or pipeline tracking tools
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check (and site-specific screening where required, e.g., healthcare or aviation)
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into hospitals, healthcare systems, convention centers, arenas, hotels, airports, or large facilities
- Prior sales of commercial cleaning equipment, robotics, automation, janitorial/facility services, or medical/facility capital equipment
- Track record closing deals typically $25,000+ with multi-month cycles and pilot-to-contract conversion
- Existing relationships with facility, EVS, or procurement leaders in Oregon / Pacific Northwest
- Familiarity with autonomous floor scrubbers or related fleet software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Physical Demands
- Frequent travel by car; periods of standing and walking during facility tours and demos
- Ability to lift or move demo materials and assist with robot positioning up to approximately 25–40 lbs with assistance as needed
- Clear verbal communication in meeting rooms, noisy facilities, and phone/video calls
- Occasional evenings or early mornings to align with client operations or after-hours demos
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
Schedule / Shift
Primarily daytime business hours with flexibility for client meetings, demos, and occasional early or late site access. Full-time. Territory and travel expectations will be discussed during hiring. Discuss preferred availability when you apply.
