Safety

Signs first. Then we clean.

Oregon OSHA-aligned floor safety on every job.

Floor crew training: wet-floor safety (40 seconds).

How our crews guard a wet floor

  1. 01

Signs and cones before the mop.

Yellow CAUTION signs go down before any cleaning starts.

  2. 02

    Every approach.

Hall ends, doorways, restroom entries, and blind corners.

  3. 03

    One side at a time.

We leave a dry walking path. Non-slip shoes, no running, eyes up.

  4. 04

    Pull them when it's dry.

A leftover sign is as bad as a missing one.

The standard we follow

Federal OSHA (29 CFR 1910.22) requires walking surfaces to be kept clean and, as far as feasible, dry, and any hazard that can't be fixed right away must be guarded. Oregon OSHA adds OAR 437-002-0145, which requires warning signs wherever a condition isn't otherwise guarded. We follow the stricter of the two on every job, using yellow caution signs as specified in 1910.144 and 1910.145.
